Glade Expressions Collection Oil Diffusers and Mists

I am a BzzAgent which offers me the opportunity to try different products and give an honest opinion of what I think of them.  I was invited to the Glade Expression Collection Campaign, and received coupons to try out the new Glade Expressions Oil Diffusers and Fragrance Mists -- and I fell in love! The refillable scents come in exotic Pineapple & Mangosteen, which smells like fresh-cut pineapple, Fuji Apple and Cardamom, which smells like spices and crisp apples, and Lavender & Juniper Berry, which smells like lavender with a touch of eucalyptus.  The fragrance mist also comes in Cotton & Italian Mandarin, which is a clean and citrusy scent and works well in the bathroom.  I find them all wonderful!

I like how inviting these products make my home, and have them in every room.  I have two boys, so it's nice to sniff their rooms and feel good about them not smelling like sweaty gym socks, as boy's rooms sometimes do. Instead, I'm treated to the scent of Pineapple & Mangosteen from the oil diffuser when I walk in and tell them to stop playing video games (or homework) to come to dinner.  Did I mention we also have a dog?  I don't notice that I even have a dog with the wonderful wisps of scent all over the place.  For my bedroom, I use the Lavender & Juniper Berry fragrance, it is relaxing and nice.  The design of the diffusers are modern, beautiful and fit anywhere.  This product is refillable, and comes in your choice of a bamboo or an off-white color.  And I like that you don't need a plug in or need batteries.  When I need a portable scent, I reach for my refillable fragrance mist(s) which release a long-lasting light mist of fragrance and aren't overwhelming.  They are also a nice beige (you remove the outer wrapping if you like) that complements our home.  In all,  I am truly pleased with the products and am thankful for the opportunity to try them.  And I know you would enjoy them also!

Hills Science Diet Ideal Balance Dog Food

I recently received a trial 4 lb bag of Hills Science Diet Ideal Balance Dog Food from BzzAgent and PetMD (petmd.com/mybowl) .  My schnauzer really likes it--even though I purchased another brand with salmon and sweet potatoes for him to try around the same time, he prefers this.

The good thing about Hills Science Diet Dog Food, it that the main ingredient is chicken.  It also contains fruits and veggies.  The cool thing about getting this trial bag, is that I spoke with my veterinarian several weeks earlier for my pet's vaccinations and they suggested this brand, because it didn't have so many fillers and would help my dog not be so itchy.  I can't say for myself that this is going to cure his itchiness, but I have faith that he will feel better without so much wheat and corn in his diet.

I also spoke with the PetSmart lady and she said that the main ingredients for dogs should be a protein and she also suggested we try this.  As long as my dog likes it and I know it's good for him, I will keep buying him Hills Science Dog Food, the Ideal Balance variety.

Cookies! Everyone loves Chocolate Chip Cookies! But have you tried these? .....

I received a sample box of The Truly Awesome Homestyle Chocolate Chip Cookies that you can purchase at Fred Meyer, from BzzAgent.  My children loved them!  What I liked is that they are made with no added preservatives or artificial flavors like other brands have.  And they are twice the size of normal cookies.  Crunchy yumminess!

My favorite (and my son's) way of eating them is by warming a bit in the microwave.  It makes them taste as if they'd just come out of the oven.  I am sure you would find them to be delicious as they are made from real butter and tons of chocolate chips.  Try them, I'm sure you will be glad you did!  You can find them at Fred Meyer stores for about $2.79 a box.  Let me know what you think.

Places to find out about advanced movie screenings in the Portland area

I know I promised to furnish this information months ago.  And here it is:

Many people wonder, "How the heck do people find out about all these movie screenings before they come out?" A lot of it is word of mouth. Many of us meet other people while in line for movie screenings and find out about new resources all the time.  You may have to brush up on your mingling skills.  But here are a few other suggestions that I think will be helpful ...

Many people refer to Willamette Week (available on Wednesdays) and The Mercury (available on Thursdays) weekly publications here in Portland, Oregon. Look in the movie guide sections for rsvp codes for www.GoFoBo.com. The limited number of GoFoBo codes go fast, so make sure you get a copy of the paper right away and go to the site and enter the rsvp code online to get your printed passes. Another way to get tickets from these weeklies is through Janet Wainwright Public Relation's offers. There are different methods of winning - usually a mail away for screening tickets--make sure you do it right away since their office is in Seattle and your request needs to be in by the following Tuesday. And JWPR also has some offers where you e-mail them with some requested story or with an answer to a question.  They will respond if you win.

If you want to go straight to the source for Janet Wainwright's Movie Club, you can "Like" the club on Facebook http://www.facebook.com/JWPRMovies.  Or you can e-mail them directly (see this page for the address: http://www.janetwainwright.com/filmclub.htm)

Here are a few other links to sites where you have to become a member to get notifications of upcoming screenings:

Txt Movie Club

Film Metro

"Like" Advance Screenings on Facebook

Become a member of NW 32 movie club

"Like" BzzboPDX

Or you can join this Meetup group http://www.meetup.com/Movies-in-Portland-Meetup-Group/ - I think they charge a $5 yearly fee to be a member.

A few of these sources are new to me.  I know there is a guy that goes by the name Don B on Yelp who also gets tickets to screenings (thedon.yelp.com) for the Portland area.

And last but not least, remember there are lots of radio stations and television stations that offer tickets.  There a many different ways they offer them to you.  You can win them as prizes when you call in or sign up to win online.  When they go out on a street team visit at a particular place of business or community fair, they often offer tickets to upcoming shows.

Anyhow, this about covers what I know about getting free advanced screening movie tickets in the Greater Portland Area.  I would gladly like to hear from you if you have other sources that I am unaware of.

Movie Ticket Subscriptions - Tickets at Discount Prices

I really enjoy this program and I think it is something you might be interested in.  BARGAIN MOVIE TICKETS (http://www.bargainmovietickets.com/) is offering monthly subscriptions for movie tickets (costing up to $12) - for about $5 a ticket (around 50% off since most tickets are around $9-$10).   So, if you sign up for the three movie tickets a month subscription, you would pay $15.99, for four tickets, $19.99, five tickets, $24.99 and for six tickets, $29.99.  For a large family like mine, I get the five ticket deal.  This program works great because it also includes 3-D movies and IMAX movies (you might have to pay a dollar or so more for admission, since these usually cost around $13).

Sign up for this program's three-day trial membership and you get a free movie ticket just for doing so.  You can activate the ticket immediately.  You will then use the code to print out a movie ticket voucher to use at the ticket booth.  There is a list of theaters that will accept the vouchers on the main page http://www.bargainmovietickets.com/.  If you decide not to become a regular subscriber, you can cancel before the three-day membership ends.  They are available by e-mail, phone or live support to cancel or to answer questions about how the program works.

My kids love going to the movies, and we have really been able to take advantage of this offer.  I hope you will, too!

Introductions

Why hello!  Welcome to my first attempt at a blog.  My name is Teresa, and I am giddy with pleasure that I will have the opportunity to let you know about great deals and coupons that I discover or hear of through the grapevine.  I will share some of my shopping scenarios, in case you wish to try them yourself.  I will also give reviews of movies or products that I enjoy using.

But first, let me tell you about myself.  I am a full-time working mom with three children at home: Armando, Andy and Victor.  Armando, works part-time in health education and coordination of volunteers for fundraisers and health screenings, and is also a student at Portland State University. Andy is my 15 year old.  He is active in sports (Football and Basketball) while going to high school as a freshman.  And Victor, my youngest, is a 6th grader who loves to read "how it works" books.  My oldest son, Julian, is married; I would just like to say I think he is a GREAT dad.  I have a granddaughter, Emma, that is adorable and loves all things Dora the Explorer.  As you can see, my children bring me much joy and I am very proud of all of them.  Oh yeah, I am also married.  My partner in crime is Ismael and he works full time at Alpenrose Dairy.  And we all live in Beaverton, Oregon!

My favorite past-time is cruising the store aisles, with my coupons in hand, and snagging deals.  Bringing home 10 boxes of all sorts of Nabisco crackers for 10 dollars or less, or cereal for 25 cents a box are my "bread and butter" let's say.... :)  I will try to include pictures of my finds as we go.

That said, please enjoy your time reading my blog!
